Create Leave Hierarchy

To set up a leave hierarchy, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Leave Module

    • Go to the "Leave" menu.

  2. Access Leave Approval Settings

    • Click on "Leave Approval."

    • Then, select "Add Leave Approval."

  3. Define the Leave Hierarchy

    • Enter a Subject (this serves as the name for the leave hierarchy).

    • Select the Leave Type you want to configure.

    • Choose the Department(s) associated with this leave type.

      • Note: You can select multiple departments if needed.

  4. Configure the Approval Process

    • Under "Approver", select who will be responsible for approving leave requests. There are three predefined approver types:

      • Department Head – The designated department head is automatically assigned as the approver.

      • Supervisors – The assigned supervisor(s) for the department will be the approver(s).

      • Specific Personnel – You can manually assign approvers by:

        1. Selecting a role (e.g., Team Lead, HR, Manager).

        2. Choosing personnel assigned to that role.

  5. Save the Configuration

    • Click "Save" to finalize the leave hierarchy.

By following these steps, you ensure that leave requests are routed to the appropriate approvers based on your organizational structure.
