App Settings

App settings enable you to control various features and behaviors of the DigitalHR mobile application as well as backend application.

  • Authorize Login:

    • The Authorize Login setting in Digital HR provides an added layer of security by controlling how users can log in and out of their accounts. This setting can prevent unauthorized access, particularly in situations where a device is lost or compromised. Below is a detailed explanation of how to configure and manage the Authorize Login setting.

      Enabling Authorize Login

When the Authorize Login setting is enabled, users must receive approval from an admin to log back in after logging out. This includes logging in from the same device or any new device. With Authorize Login enabled, users must request approval to log back in after they log out. This adds a security measure to ensure that only authorized logins are permitted.

      1. User Logout Request:

        • When a user logs out, they can send a logout request from their device.

        • This request is sent to the admin for approval.

      2. Admin Approval:

        • The admin receives a notification of the logout request.

        • To approve the request, the admin navigates to the "Logout Requests" section in the admin panel.

        • The admin can then approve the logout request, allowing the user to log in again from the same or a new device.

      Force Logout

In case a user loses their device or it is compromised, the admin can perform a force logout to ensure the security of the user's account.

      1. Force Logout by Admin:

        • Navigate to the "User Management" section in the admin panel.

        • Select the user who needs to be logged out.

        • Click on "Force Logout" to immediately log the user out of all devices.

        • The user will now be able to log in again after the admin approves their new login request.

      Logging in on Multiple Devices

If the Authorize Login setting is disabled, users can log in from multiple devices without requiring admin approval.

  • Router BSSID Check:

    • Enable or disable the check for router BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifier) to ensure employees are logging in from authorized network locations. Setting up BSSID key in next chapter.

  • 24-Hour Format:

    • Choose between 24-hour or 12-hour time format for displaying times within the app.

  • Date in BS:

    • This setting is applicable to users located in Nepal only. For all other keep this switch disabled at all times.
